Privacy Policy

All terms and definitions in this Privacy Policy shall have the meanings given to them in the Terms of Use of the Site, which can be found here.

By using the Site, the Users agree to the terms and conditions of the Terms of Use, including this Privacy Policy, as they may be amended by the Company from time to time in its sole discretion. This includes the use and disclosure of any Information that Users may have shared with the Site and its transfer to and storage on the Company''s servers.

While the Company takes ample measures to ensure that Users'' Information is protected against accidental loss or destruction as well as from malicious use by outside sources, all Users acknowledge that the Company cannot, and does not, guarantee that Users'' Information will be kept secure at all times, only that it will take all reasonable measures to secure such Information as appropriate to a site such as this Site.

1. Users may choose not to provide any of the Information requested from them on the Site. However, refusal to provide such Information would render some of the Site''s functions inaccessible to them.

2. Information collected by the Site or provided by Users will be collected and stored by the Company as follows:

2.1. Information collected by the Site regarding Users' use of the Site - The Company may track and collect the following Information automatically from the User''s computer while browsing through the site: (a) internet protocol (IP) address; (b) computer and connection Information; (c) browser version, settings and type; (d) operating system; (e) Internet Service Provider (ISP); (f) time stamps; (g) banner ads the User clicks; (h) URL traffic to, through, and from the Site; (i) Pages viewed on the Site, including length of viewing (hereinafter: "Traffic Data"). Traffic Data is anonymous Information that does not personally identify the User but is helpful for marketing purposes or for improving User''s experience on the Site.

The Company also uses "cookies" to customize content specific to the User's interests, to ensure that the User does not see the same advertisement repeatedly, to store the User''s password so the User will not have to re-enter it each time he visits the Site, or for any other reason.

The Company may also obtain information about the User trough other entities such as PayPal, affiliates, subsidiaries and business partners.

The Company may also collect Information about Users which will be processed and used for, inter alia, statistical analysis that will allow the Company to better the Site and the services it provides. The analyzed Information may be presented to others, outside the Company.

2.2. Information provided by Users - the Company will store all Information it receives during the registration process of Project Owners or Donors and/or Information it receives after Project is published on the Site and/or any Information it receives in any other manner. For example: (a) Information that the User provides to set up an account on the Site and contact Information such as, name and e-mail address; (b) optional Information such as Company name, and the User may choose to link his account on the Site to various networking sites such as Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Google+, etc; (c) Project''s history; (d) Information regarding interaction between Users on the Site and any correspondence between the Company and the Users; and (e) other Information the Company is required by law to collect from the User, but excluding any payment details.

3. Without being an exhausting list the User''s Information will be used, among others, for:

3.1. (a) authentication purposes, to allow Users to perform actions as either Project Owner or Donors on the Site; (b) provision of Information and services to Users; (c) communicating with Users and Project Owners about Projects, pledges, service updates and other administrative issues;(d) statistical analysis that will allow the Company to better the Site and the services it provides. The analyzed Information may be presented to others, outside the Company; (e) customizing and tailoring the User''s experience on the Site and to display content that the Company thinks the User might be interested in; (f) sharing the User''s Information as required by court order or by law. The Company may disclose Information when permitted by law or to comply with any legal process which involves the Company its affiliates, members, officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, or representatives or to protect the Company its affiliates, members, officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, or representatives; (g) enforcing the Company''s Terms of Use or protecting the Company''s rights or property or those of the Users; (h) cooperating with legal authorities and third parties in the investigation of alleged wrongdoing, including disclosing the identity of a User that the Company deems responsible for any wrongdoing; (i) sharing Information with unaffiliated businesses that User requests to learn more information about or that User requests to provide him with services` and (j) sharing Information with business partners who assist the Company by performing services such as hosting, fulfillment, or data storage and security related to the operation of the Site.

Contact Information – contact Information provided by Users can be used for direct marketing by the Company and the Company may use it for the provision of direct marketing services (i.e. send Users marketing messages by others, other than the Company). The Company may send the User e-mails from time to time to let him know about Projects, special promotions, other news, offers or promotions from other Users. The User may opt out of receiving e-mails or direct marketing at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any e-mail sent to him by the Company to limit these e-mails.

3.2. Payment details - all pledges made by Donors to Projects will be done in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Terms of Use and by using a secured payment service provider. The Company will have exclusive access to all the pledges submitted by Donors on the Site, and their payment details will be stored at said payment service provider.

4. By using the Site, Users give their explicit permission to the Company to use and store all the Information as stated above. The Users will have no claim and/or suit and/or demand against the Company, its affiliates, members, officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, or representatives regarding this.

5. Deletion of Information - the Company may delete stored Information of any type mentioned above, from time to time in its sole discretion. The company is not responsible to any loss of Information and the Users will have no claim and/or suit and/or demand against the Company, its affiliates, members, officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, or representatives regarding this.

6. Lost or Stolen Information: the User must promptly notify the Company if its User name or password is lost, stolen, or used without permission. In such an event, the Company will remove that user name or password from the User''s account and update the User''s records accordingly.

7. Among others, the Site enables Users to present their ideas, publish themselves and provide others with Information regarding them. It is the Users responsibility to filter the Information they would like to be presented on the Site and available for public consumption. The Company its affiliates, members, officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, or representatives are not liable for any losses or damages that a User may incur by publishing such Information, be it to himself or others and said User will indemnify the Company for any losses damages it may be held liable for by a court of law or any other competent authority.

8. Donors hereby declare that they are fully aware that the Project Owners will have access to the names and abbreviated surnames (unless they choose to remain anonymous) and locations (country) of the Donors of their Existing Project during the Active Funding Period through their Project Pages. Furthermore, when Existing Projects reach or exceed the Minimum Funding Threshold, a full list of Donors including their full names and surnames, locations (country), e-mail addresses and pledge amounts will be sent by the Company to the Projects Owners. The Users will have no claim and/or suit and/or demand against the Company, its affiliates, members, officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, or representatives regarding this.

9. Subsidiaries and affiliates: the Company may share Information with present or future affiliates and/or subsidiaries and/or companies under its control and/or joint ventures and/or business partners.

10. The Company may change, update, or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time and without notice in its sole discretion, simply by posting such change, update, or modification on the Site and without any other notice. Amended terms will take effect immediately for new Users and 14 days after they are posted for Existing Projects. The Company encourages Users to frequently check this page for any changes, updates, or modifications to its Privacy Policy. If the User continues to use the Site after the Company posts changes, updates, or modifications to the Privacy Policy, it will mean that the User accepts such changes.

11. Links to other sites: the Site may contain links to other websites. The Company is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these sites and does not endorse, support or control them. If the User has concerns about how another website collects and uses information about him, he needs to make sure to read that website''s own privacy policy. Any User using these websites, does so at his own risk and will have no claim and/or suit and/or demand against the Company, its affiliates, members, officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, or representatives in case his use of these websites incur any losses or damages to him or third parties.

12. Information that exits on third parties sites: the Company may access certain Information of the Users that exists on third parties sites such as Facebook and Linkedin. The Company will only access such Information if the User grants the Company permission to do so, such as by clicking on a link on the Site. The Company may use User''s Information in any way consistent with this Privacy Policy.

13. Assets: the Company may sell, transfer or otherwise share some of its assets in connection with a merger or sale of assets, or in the event of bankruptcy. In such an event, Information may be one of the assets transferred.

14. Governing Law: This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and the competent courts regarding any claim and/ or suit that may arise regarding this Privacy Policy are the courts of the Republic of Cyprus.
